Verisk’s Roof Condition Score (RCS) is an effective tool that can help enable insurers to underwrite and price more efficiently for a wider range of risks. It helps reduce human bias and normalizes data to support more reliable and better decisions.

Advanced computer vision technology automates the assessment of visible roof defects and reduces the cost and time spent to gather critical property data. The scalability allows for broad use of data previously available only through on-site inspections, with coverage of nearly 100% of the contiguous U.S.

Ultra (~7.5 cm ground sampling distance) and high (~15cm GSD) resolutions are available, with usage determined case-by-case.

Up to three times each year, with urban areas refreshed twice a year at ultra resolution and the entire U.S. once every other year at high resolution.
